Where to buy a Large reef ready tank

I just spoke to Marineland over the phone and didnt have any prices, and told me all their tanks are perfecto tanks and to call them. So.... The GOOD NEWS IS I did call "That fish place" in Lancaster, and they can order me the 300 deep , 72x36x27 for 1700.00 picked up, thats with corner overflows and starphire glass.

I actually called CTE aquatics in baltimore...they don't carry anything that large, mainly stocking Deep blue, AGA and perfecto tanks.

Looks like they well be the winner at this point. I dont think anyone is going to beat that price or have a shipping method that will not break the bank.

Fishgate!! SHHH! I'll worry about that after buying the tank. I think i'll have to get a steel frame stand built too, and my town home probably wont hold it on the second floor. It will have to go in the basement/mancave.

Don't cheap out on the tank.
Get what you want.
The way I see it is that if you can't afford the tank itself then you sure can't afford to equip it and stock it.
If that is the case get a smaller tank.
Otherwise if this is just about justifing shipping cost, I am with you, giving money to a shipping company that could buy your skimmer sucks.

As a side note. I had a 280 gallon from inter american, and it was like what others have descrided glass cages as. Poor attention to detail, sloppy and unimpressive looking. But it never leaked or other problems.
I now have a 93 gallon Marineland/Perfecto cube. And it is nice. not supper fancy but nice and clean.
I did not get the reef ready. Just the plain tank and made my own external overflow.

Yea, I've decided to go with the Marinland deep 72x36x27. It has everything I want at my price range. All the custom tank builders around me charge almost double if not more. Even though I had sold my 180 tank.... I kept all my hardwayre...skimmers lights, pumps, ect. And I always over kill and they should all be fine running on a 300 gal.

Drop me a PM if you need any help with the new setup. I am under a 1/2 hour from you. Sadly, I have blown back disks that prevent me from lifting much. I looked up that store you used and they might become my new favorite store.

RicksFishandpet? LOL Well. Let me tell you, although Rick himself really does love and care for animals, the shop can be so,so, just dont go with high expectations. His mark ups are outragous most of the time and the health of the saltwater tanks is not up to par to what you are going to pay. Expect to get ICK, they do not quarintine, and in my experiance know little about marine/coral husbandry.

2nd for Planet Aquariums from Dallas. Super easy to work with, quality tank, and price is great compared to other quote I received.
