Acclimation to and from hyposalinity

In your article re ich and with respect to the hyposalinity option, you counsel a slow acclimation back from 1.01 to 1.026. If I interpret your suggestion correctly (.001 or .002 per day), it would take 8-16 days or so. But what about going from 1.026 to 1.01? Can that acclimation be done within a day?

Yes, I have never experienced a problem lowering the salinity in one day, nor really increasing it. I did have enough friends relate problems with increasing the salinity quickly that I suggested going slowly just to be safe.
