How do I get entered

Entrance: Fee: $15 at the door plus 3 qualifying frags
We will be running a paypal for discounted pre-paid entrance into the swap, and is up on the home page.
PayPal prepay-$12 (Deadline for prepay will be Wednesday March 18th - the week before the swap)

There will also be a special pricing for volunteers for the swap committee as we appreciate the help
-volunteers for swap committee $10 at the door

We also wanted to do something special for all of our paid club members and neighboring clubs due to this being open to the public.
Paid club members can pay enterance fee at the February meeting for 5$ (otherwise $10 at the door for paid 2015 CRC club members) Bring your member card to get discount.

Now for our neighboring clubs - We are really looking forward to seeing some of you'all join us for this awesome event and to help in getting you here - We will be offering 5 pack carpool entrance packages thru the paypal for you guys at $55 (otherwise $15 at the door)

We will also be offering a special to those that become a paid member of CRC in honoring the $10 enterance fee at the door
with paid membership at the swap. Remember dues are $25 for a single and $35 for a family for a year membership

We have a lot of 1st time swappers and a handful of new hobbiests this year so to make things easy for those that might not have 3 frags but still would like to swap -after you take care of your entrance fee -
We are looking to have mixed packs of 3 qualifying common frags available for purchase at the door for amount to be updated (these frags will cover your 3 entrance frags and we will place them among the tables) We will be contacting Jody and looking at working with Reef Connections on this. As our 1st goal is to fill the tables with corals for swapping to prolong the awesome time - we will 1st sell these packs for entrance and when/if we run out will honor a $20 buy in - in place of your 3 qualifying frags. I hope that helps some in being able to attend the swap and have a hand in all the fun.

3 qualifying common frags must all be different i.e.
1" acro frag
1 3-5 polyp zoa frag
1" monti frag for example

3 LE corals can be mixed or no more than 2 of the same piece out of the 3 as long as they are qualifying LE frags i.e.
1 purple monster
1 terra del fuego
1 mummy eye
or
1 mummy eye
1 purple monster
1 purple monsters for example

10 common frags for bonus round must all be different with none of the same coral within the grouping i.e.
1- 2 eye red favia
1- 2 eye green favia
1"- blue validia
1- 4 polyp blue tubbs zoa
1"- red monti
1"- green monti
1- 2 head frogspawn
1- 2 head hammer
1- 5 polyp Amor of God zoa
1- 2 eye red chalice
for example 10 frags all different = 1 bonus round ticket

Please treat all corals that you pick at the swap as if they are infected with the worst pests known to man. Not only does dipping help to prevent pests from making their way into your tank, it could potentially prevent the spread of nuisance algae as well as keeping the instances of necrosis to a minimum.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

We ask that you package your corals in deli containers similar to these, or other sealable containers. Corals in ziplock bags are not allowed. Typically a good place to find deli containers is your local Cash N Carry. Not only do the containers allow you to see the corals better, they reduce the risk of leaks and spills that can potentially irritate our hosts at Reef Connections. If you show up with substandard packing you will be required to purchase deli containers at the door and repackage and label your corals. There will be some handy frag packing tips in this thread, please feel free to add any suggestions or ask questions in advance of the swap.?

All containers shall be labeled with the coral type, your name/internet handle, and hopefully growing conditions (height in tank, flow, lighting, etc.). This is to allow the recipient of your frag to reproduce your growing conditions as much as possible. If the containers are not labeled you will be asked to label them correctly. Please check out the Avery site for convenient pre-made Avery labels?. Some labels we've used before are the Avery 5163/8163 and theAvery 5371.

Any corals determined to be in poor condition or freshly fragged will not qualify you for the swap, it is against our mission to reward poor propagation techniques.

ROUNDS AND PICKING ORDER

Picking order for groups will be random draw at entrance and you will be placed into a color group.
Groups will then run in the order Red, Blue, Gold and back Gold, Blue, Red and back Red, Blue, Gold and so on until all corals are gone.

Bonus rounds will be 5 minutes
Regular rounds will be 3 minutes and will progressively get shorter as we get further into the rounds

I attended a swap couple years back hosted by R.A.R.E and the way they utilized their bonus rounds was the best I've seen yet so we will be implamenting the idea this year.

BONUS ROUNDS

LE approved bonus round corals and size requirments list and submissions page can be found here
http://chicoreefclub.net/index.php?topic=3087.new#new

To be eligible for the bonus round you must bring 3 qualifying eligible LE frags or 10 eligible common frags and you will recieve a ticket into the bonus round. There will be 2 bonus rounds. The 1st bonus round will consist of only people that brought LE frags (Not 10 common frags)and they can choose 1 piece this round. The 2nd bonus round is for all bonus round tickets from 10 common frags and LE additional picks -
We have decided to not put a limit on the amount of bonus round tickets you can recieve from bringing 3 qualifying LE frags
BUT there will be a 1 bonus round ticket limit set for 10 common frags

There is big reasoning for the bonus round cap. It allows for more LE pieces to be left on the tables for the regular rounds. There is also a lot of controversy it seems about bonus rounds, but when you really look at it they do nothing but help the incentive to bring things from your secret stash. At each person bringing 3 to 6 LE frags and only walking away with 1 or 2 - well that leaves a lot of LE corals for the other rounds. The LE only round helps incentive on really bringing it giving that awesome individual a choice cherry pick...but remember they only get 1..and they brought 3

The regular rounds will start after both bonus rounds have finished and will continue until all corals are gone.

What is an eligible common frag
sps - 1"
zoas - 3-5polyps(5 is better.lol)
lps/softies - 2 - heads, eyes, mouths,or mushies - no fresh cuts

Corals not excepted as eligible swap frags but can be brought as freebies are as follows and also
green button polyps or any brown blue nuisence paly
NO FRESH CUTS!!! FRESH CUT SOFTIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
