Our October meeting has been scheduled for the 9th starting at 12:00. Eric from Reefitini has offered to host a workshop at his house that will include a hands-on Acrylic build of a 20"x20"x12" nano tank. This hands-on workshop will allow the participants to weld, cut, and cure the acrylic. The workshops will be in 1 hour blocks and there will 2-3 depending on the participation.
During the time that Eric is building the tank, our Vice President Jason (tourquehound) will be building the stand to match. He will be available for questions in how to build a custom stand.
The admission for these workshops will be $5, which will help in covering the cost of the materials.
The goal is by the end of the meeting to have a tank and a stand that will be available for raffle (the winner of the set up may have to wait a couple days after to make sure the acrylic is fully cured) Raffles will be $2 and will be available to anyone that attends the meeting regardless if you participated in the workshops or not.
During the meeting there will be BBQ style food available (burgers, hot dogs, and Kbabs) and time to socialize.
