Hey what guys what do you keep your salinity at?

I like to run around 1.025-.026.

Any thoughts on running lower/higher?

I've read where some people will run around 1.022, but I'm not really comfortable doing so....

we used to test the water in the bay in Port Elizabeth,, it was a bit lower like 1.023 - .24

I have always just done .025 because it was an easy number to remember...

so how often do you check your sg?

I check mine weekly with water changes.. (most of the time)....

Probably monthly for me. I do w/c about once a month-month and half.

When I manually dosing magnesium, I was checking more often - in the two week range.

do you use a swing arm, or a refractormeter...?

refractometer - calibrated with pinpoint solution. Heading down in a bit - you gonna be home?

I have never even heard of Calibration Fluid... do I find that at the five and dime next to the snake of oil, and holy water ?
