Hi Anthony

When you had you green house, what was your secret with shipping Xenia.

Thanks
Scott

theres no secret really... just good handling technique. The difference between being a good shipper of Xenia, and being just another guy that sends stuff that arrives rotting <G>... is not handling the tissue of the animal at any time (!) when packing.

They need to be grown out onto substrates that you can handle without touching the live tissue... and those substrates need to be suspended upside down on styro rafts that are larger than the footprint of the specimen. This will insure that not only you do not touch the living tissue... but that the shipping bag walls also do not touch the animal in transit.

We are trying to avoid (contact) the stimulation of excess mucus production which in a shipping vessels spells disaster in short time.

kindly,

Anthony
