I agree with the sixline bit. I've seen way too many be complete jerks to other wrasses.
I have a melanarus and be advised as they get bigger they can be a handful. I can't put smaller clams or small frags in my tank because he flips them over while doing his potential pest ridding rituals.

radiant wrasses are a good choice. i have one and love it. i also have a potters leopard wrasse that seems to help with keeping things in control and he isnt aggressive at all and is a beautiful fish
Depends on your tank size, but agree Radiants are very nice, as well as flames. Price for raises varies tremendously. Make sure you have a tight cover, I have lost countless wrasses due to carpet surfing.
Most halichoeres wrasses are good choices. I like my Halichoeres biocellatus since it stays a bit smaller than some of the other species. My yellow halichoeres got too big, and had to be removed. A friend has a radiant that is simply BEASTLY!
