New to Area

Just moved to KC and looking for some saltwater hobbyists. I'm a SEAS member in Springfield and was hoping to find a group like that up here. Anything inthis area?

This section unfortunately is pretty stagnant.

The Facebook groups -Kansas City Reef Association and KC saltwater and reef are pretty active though.

I'm on fishheads, havent been on in probably 10 years though, there is also another one that was really my main forum before joining here called Salt-city.org but it like most the other local forums have died and gone to Facebook.

New here located in junction city, Kansas. Pretty new reefer. Anyone know of any good local fish stores located in the Manhattan, Topeka and Salina area or even a litttle father out.. any one selling frags close to me ?

Just reviving this thread to see how many KC area reefers are still around. I left the hobby four years ago and recently jumped back in to find most of the local forums are dead. Back in the day I could log on to one of the forums and buy/sell/trade with other local reefers. Now it seems that the only options are the few local fish stores around town which is a bummer.

Getting started into the reef world, been doing freshwater for a good while and now going to start growing some reefs soon.

We need to get a good KCRA frag swap schedule going on once the weather cools down a bit.

I have quite a few large SPS corals that are in dire need of some trimming, problem is, don't have a frag tank set up yet, so if anyone wants some cheap fresh cuts. Let me know.

Hey I know this post is a bit old but do you still live in the same area and have any cheap/free frags? Looking at starting a new tank here soon over in the Manhattan area!

Hey there, I'm kind of in the same boat, I left the hobby a few years back and I'm trying to see what's out there and get back into the swing of things before rebuilding a reef myself [emoji106] have you found any reputable LFS's out where you are?

Bumping this back up. Seeing if anybody is out there. I moved away from Missouri about 5 years ago and before I left there were a few groups, meetings, frag swaps, local forums. What happened?
