Best Snorkeling in St. Thomas

unhandleable

Headed back to St. Thomas very soon, was there in January on my honeymoon. I didn't go prepared but I did some snorkeling with my wife on Sapphire beach, it was pretty nice but trying to see if I'm missing out on something far greater. I heard taking the ferry to St. John was well worth the trip but seeing if any of you divers, snorkelers or travelers had any experience. Also any ideas or tips for cool things to do on the island that I'm not aware of. Thanks for your time!

Go to Trunk Bay in St John's. You snorkel around an island off the beach. Also a day trip on the Daydreamer is tons of fun

We were just there in June and I we were SERIOUSLY disappointed. WAY too crowded, TONS of dead coral and very few fish. Hawks Nest was MUCH better. Tons of LARGE staghorn and lots of fish.
