If your using individual reflectors within the top 1/3 of your tank level would be fine.If your using a unit without, definately keep em as high as you can.Pretty hardy coral

rx, the monti will do well under t5 if kept in the mid to upper portion of the tank. i grew this piece under 2x32w pc's for about a year or so
