My LFS have had a 250G display tank with lot of sps/lps and tons of anthias(20+) When i look at their sump all they have is a sump with LR and a skimmer. I asked do they test their water on a regular basis and the guy that look after the tank said the only thiings he measured is calcium level and nothing else. I'd like to know if it's possible to skip alk test and sustain a healthy/beautiful tank? Im sorta new to reef sorry if it sounds a little amateurish to you

I would not recommend that, no. IMO, alkalinity is the most important thing to measure, even more important than calcium since it moves up and down a lot faster than calcium with over or under dosing.

That said, very experienced reefers can develop lots of different ways to keep track of their aquaria that don't necessarily involve lots of testing, but I wouldn't do that until you are very comfortable with your set up.
