Hey Everybody,

I have been in the hobby for about 6 months and living in Long Beach. I would love to learn more about this awesome hobby from more experience hobbyist in Long Beach! How would I go about it?

There was a Long Beach club some time ago, but IIRC it fizzled out.

Check out the listing of the SoCal hobbyist clubs in this thread and see what's the closest... Also, RAP (Reef A Palooza) is coming up in a couple of weeks, and that would be a GREAT place to meet people...

Welcome!

Thanks! I am really hoping to get to RAP! I heard about it a month ago.

I like the aspect of community on these SoCal threads more than the free-for-all on the larger threads in RC!

Question, what are some of the best LFS in SoCal? I stick to my local LFS Strictly Fish in Lakewood. I have a good standing with them.

I live in Orange and I am wondering what Reefing communities are out there. I am looking for people to swap frags for frags. I would like to join or at least check out a reefing community for this purpose. I have met a bunch of people throughout the marine fish community. I used to work at Window To The Sea at the 55 and 5 fwy. I have a Super Neon green frogspawn with 12 heads on it. I have a colt coral just waiting to be cut. and i am about to start fragging out a Neon green leather. Anywho, I am just trying to reach out to anyone around the area.

Pretty sure they'd be the closest...

BTW if anyone has changes to locations/dates/fees/etc, please let me know. I know IEMAS is changing their date so I'd like to add any other club changes at that time.

Thanks!
