I am in the process of buying a home in Indianapolis and I need advice about where to place my aquarium and whether the floor will hold it. Does anyone know any home inspectors in the Indy area that have experience with this?
I currently have the aquarium in an addition of my old house with concrete directly under it, but from the looks of the house-searching this may not be an option. None of the houses in my price range/area have basements. The aquarium has exterior dimensions of 84"x18"x24". I'm estimating a wet weight of approximately 1065 lbs + 200 lbs of sand + stand (I can't remember how much it weighs but I'm guessing 200 lbs just to be safe). This gives an estimated weight of 1465 lbs over an area of 10.5 square feet and 139.6 psf. Any thoughts?
