What is this?

Hi everyone I noticed this thing in my tank recently and not sure what it is? It has a base like a snail and is moving around very slowly on the glass but the top looks like an anemone or aiptasia. Never seen it before and don't know where it came from does anyone know what this is?

Hello and welcome. It looks like a nudibranch; what species, I can't tell, perhaps a berghia. Some are harmless and some are very much so by way of feasting on some of your inhabitants, especially zoanthids and montipora (sps). Some can also sting us, so be careful- wear gloves. I'd use a turkey baster and remove it.

It looks like some kind of anemone to me.

Interesting. I can see either nudibranch or anemone. How slowly is it moving? If snail like speed, a nudibranch. If moving slower, could be an anemone.

Nudis have a head and a tail and they have bilateral symmetry. I dont see that in the pic or the reflection of the foot in the glass.
