What exactly IS the R3CA project?

I have seen this above the DIY forum for a while now, and I am wondering: what is it, and what is its purpose?

Its a thread mainly aimed for guys who want to DIY electronic/eletrical items to use on their aquariums.

R 3 C A stands for:

Reef Central Computer Controller Automater


So anything automated and DIY should go in here, i just think its not very well placed on the forum page and it took me a long time to realise it was here.

The project looks really impressive from glancing at your web page on google.

Are there PCB layouts, software upload, or anything else?

I've been tempted by an aquacontroller unit, it seems to be very programmable, although I'd actually like a fully controllable DIY unit also. Most of the functions you describe are similar to what I'm looking for.

Bit of a nitpick, but isn't the usual convention to put a multiplier after the letter? RC3A? (RCCCA vs RRRCA)
